John and I will be staying in town this year for Thanksgiving and his parents and sister Julia will be joining us at Grandma's this year! I called to warn Grandma earlier about the additional guests, she wasn't home but Uncle Chris said the more the merrier, lol.
John's Grandmother and her husband George from Lousiville may be joining us as well (some of you have met them at the wedding and Dommie's birthday parties).
Just a heads up to everyone else. :)

Our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Best Friend....
Re: The Second Annual "Grass is Always Greener at Grandma's House" money drive

Re: They took her keys away!!!!
Mom is having a lot of tests run to find out what is causing her to have spells of lightheadedness, fainting, fatigue, among other symptoms. Until they get to the cause the doctors do not want her to drive. Our Mom has always been a very independent individual and prides herself on how well she takes care of herself and so this is a setback for her, even if she does not say it is. In her own "McClellan-Riggsby" fashion she is dealing with this very well. But do her a favor and keep her in your thoughts, if you can call to see what she's up to, if she would like to take a ride (she loves to go for rides in the country, and it's such a great way to hear all of her memories!), if she needs to get to the store or just out shopping, does she have a social affair that she needs a ride to, or an upcoming Doctors visit she needs to get to. Mom means so much to all of us, and although I am very sure that she will get her keys back it is a wake up call for all of us, sort of a trial run of what the future will bring someday, hopefully way later then sooner!!
AND...on another note:
Christmas is coming, last year we raised a good deal of money for Mom's lawn mowing service. I am hoping to get the news out early this year, so that money can be set aside and will not intrude on your own Christmas expenses as we get closer to the holidays. Whatever you can afford to give and pass on this information to all family members so that we can come up with a great gift for Mom. I am looking to see around $1000.00 in this effort. We should try to pull our resources together by Thanksgiving.
Thanks all, I love you! Auntie Deb
